Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June show doubled at Maggiora Offroad Arena

It will be a decidedly busy weekend for drivers, cars and organisers: Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June in the Maggiora Offroad Arena there will be two rounds of the Italian Rallycross Championship!

Saturday 5 will be run on the Reverse circuit, while on Sunday 6 it will be back to the classic course. A big battle is expected: many of the category classifications are still rather 'short' and after this weekend there could be some big changes.

RX5 - Ricci chased by Riccio. And Camporese

Leading the field with 23 points is Luigi Ricci (Hyundai i20), winner of the only round in his category so far. At 19 points we find Roberto Camporese (Citroen DS3 - N5) and Davide Riccio (Hyundai i20), stopped by a puncture in the final of Round 2 after winning 3 Qs. Fourth, with 16 points, drift specialist Arianna Corallo (VW Polo - N5).

Super1600 - Volland über alles

Already has an advantage of 14 points over the second in the standings the (so far) absolute ruler of the Super1600, Nils Volland who with his Audi A1 has already scored 54 points. In second place, with 40 points, is Silvano Ruga (Renault Clio), who made the podium in the last round, while the funambulist Paolo "Popy" Barbieri and his small C2 are currently in third place with 33 points.

STC - In front is 'Frenk', the others are close by

Thanks to his perseverance Franco "Frenk" Fusi (Renault Clio) leads the standings with 37 points, tailed at only two points by an ardent Matteo Valazza (Citroen Saxo). Third, on 31 points, is Mattia Nicolini, who appeared on the rise in the last race with his Citroen AX.

Kartcross - Gallo in the lead but Berniga hot on his heels

Marcello Gallo (Lifelive TN5) held the lead in the classification with 68 points, but Marco Berniga (Planet Kart Cross K3), after his victory at Castelletto Circuit is there, just 4 points behind. The two have dug a small furrow with respect to the pursuers: third, Matteo Grieco (GMN Kart Cross) is in fact at 47 points. Fourth place with 46 points for Gallo's team mate, the Belgian Kobe Pauwels, who is also leading the ACISPORT RX Unfer 18 Trophy.

Open Doors!

Finally the public will be able to return: for the first time since 2019 fans will be able to watch the Tricolour RX races live. Access will obviously be regulated according to ANTICOVID procedures and reduced compared to the normal capacity (max 1,000 people), but it is nevertheless an extremely important signal! From Saturday 29 May the pre-sale will be open on the website www.rxitalia.com; the online pre-sale will be active until 4 June, tickets may also be purchased directly at the Maggiora Offroad Arena on 5/6 June, subject to availability.
