Round 4 tomorrow

It was an intense day in every respect: Round 3 of the Italian Rallycross Championship was held today at the Maggiora Offroad Arena, in Reverse format, with the usual battles in the race and even a thunderstorm that forced the organisers to suspend the event for a few minutes!

RX5/Super1600

In the two merged classes, the victory went to an excellent Matteo Bonini, who on his debut with his Hyundai i20 won in 4'49"737: there were all the preconditions for a good battle with his brand mate Davide Riccio, but the latter was stopped by an accident in the Qs. Second position, but first among the Super 1600s, for an increasingly performing Silvano Ruga, (Renault Clio), while third was the returning Marco Valazza (Ford Fiesta).

STC

He won, but for once he didn't win outright: Roman Castoral and his Opel Astra OPC won the final with a time of 5'24'933. Mattia Nicolini was confirmed at a high level with his Citroen AX taking second place. Third, after Mattia Corona's disqualification, was a convincing Matteo Valazza (Citroen AX), who took the luxury of beating Castoral in Q1.

Kartcross

He took a liking to it: after a day lived at a high level Marco Berniga Planet Kart Cross K3) repeated the success of Castelletto di Branduzzo going to impose himself with a time of 4'42 "117. Second position for Marcello Gallo (LifeliveTN5), who is now joined by Berniga at the top of the standings. Third position for a growing Simone Firenze (Semog Bravo Sport).
