Maggiora 4×4 Experience!

The Offroad event organised on 10/11/12 September was a success

The weekend dedicated to 4×4 was marked by beautiful sunny days that gave the almost 200 registered participants the chance to enjoy themselves on the various routes prepared by the Maggiora Sport Club.

Not only that: there was also a fair number of visitors to make this mid-September weekend even more lively.

Three levels of difficulty

The event, organised under the aegis of the Federazione Italiana Fuoristrada (FIF) (Italian Off-road Federation), included, as has become tradition, a route of around 5 kilometres in length, with itineraries of three levels marked by different colours, according to the best-known classification of ski slopes, thus distinguishing their increasing level of difficulty.

The BLUE track was the one chosen by owners of 4×4 cars, yes, but in road-going trim; the RED track was more difficult, and therefore more fun, and was reserved for cars with certain elements of preparation, in particular related to the safety of the participants such as roll-bars, seats and racing belts; the most difficult track, the BLACK, was instead only open to prototypes with a high level of elaboration.

At every junction there were signs with arrows indicating which route to take based on the characteristics of each car. The still completely green forest made these all-natural routes even more fascinating, in an almost 'rain forest' setting.

For the more daring and equipped, the spectacular twist area, with holes and elements of varying difficulty artificially created for the event, offered additional fun.

Green Pass OK!

The staff of Sport Club Maggiora are satisfied: the first event organised under the Green Pass regime went off without a hitch, thanks also to the responsibility shown by participants and visitors. Next appointment at the Maggiora Offroad Arena will be the European Autocross Championship, one of the highlights for the Novara facility, scheduled for 24/25/26 September.

As far as the 4×4 world is concerned, plans are already underway for the Jeepers Meeting to return in style in 2022: stay in touch!
