Round 3 of the Tricolour RX concluded

The debut of the Night Race in the Italian Rallycross Championship could not have been better: Round 3, which took place at the Maggiora Offroad Arena in Reverse conformation, was a succession of emotions that thrilled the numerous spectators present and certainly also the drivers who competed: a very successful experiment and one to be repeated, just as the final party, which saw a great turnout, will certainly be repeated.

RX5/Supercar

It was a great debut for Gianmarco Donetto who, having climbed into a Rallycross car (Skoda Fabia R5) for the first time, dominated all the Qs, and then also won the final: but it was not a walk in the park for the driver from Carmagnola, who won by just 722 thousandths, preceding Werner Gurschler (Skoda Fabia R5). Third place went to GianMaria Gabbiani, whose Skoda Fabia R5 was not in perfect condition after the rear-end knock that had opened the leader's day.

Among the Supercars, Rosario Corallo (Subaru Impreza) was ahead of Michele Andolina (Fiat Punto).

STC/Super 1600

In the STC min 2000 Roman Castoral (Opel Astra) dominated as predicted: in the mixed final, which also saw the STC plus 2000 and the Super1600 at the start, the Czech driver preceded Marco Valazza (Ford Fiesta Super 1600) and an excellent Jenni Sonzogni (Renault Clio Super 1600).

In the STC min 1600 Paolo Barbieri (Citroen C2) repeated his Round 2 success by edging out Matteo Valazza (Citroen Saxo) in the final by just 163 thousandths, after a wonderful battle.

Third came Damiano Delfino (Citroen Saxo).

Kartcross

114 thousandths. This is the gap, a very small one, between Marcello Gallo (LifeLive TN5) and Riccardo Canzian (Speedcar Xtreme) at the end of a very tight final that will remain etched in the minds and hearts of those who saw and experienced it.

Third place, in this truly exciting final, for Maicol Giacomotti (Planet Kart K3).

Also noteworthy was the performance of the returning Mauro Vicario (Speedcar Xtreme) who finished fifth, behind Matteo Grieco, after being the best of the Qs.

See you in July!

The next round of the Italian Rallycross Championship will be in July, on 16/17, at Castelletto di Branduzzo, for Round 4, which will have a coefficient of 1.5.
