It was two very intense days, which gave the large audience present (despite the less than favorable weather) great emotions: Round 9 of the European Autocross Championship, which just ended in Maggiora Offroad Arena, did not betray the expectations.
SuperBuggy
He had no rivals: his majesty Bernd Stubbe (DEU, Alfa EB Volvo) confirmed his great feeling with the Maggiora track by winning the final with great authority after always being among the fastest over the entire weekend. Now for Stubbe, the eleventh title is no longer a pipe dream: in fact, he leads the standings paired with Czech Petr Nikodem, today only sixth. Double podium for France: second was in fact Johnny Feuillade (Alfa Racing S1000RR Bmw), while in third position came compatriot Vincent Mercier (JDVC 3.0).
Buggy1600
Luxembourger Kevin Peters (GRR Racing) was not enough to win the European title already in the previous round: today he again showed his great class by going on to win ahead of German Steven Laubach (Peters Buggy 1600) and Moldavian Andrei Maxian (F& Chassis Buggy 1600).
JuniorBuggy
With today's victory Arnost Florian (Alfa Racing Team GSX-R) also won the European title. Great day then for the Czech Republic rider who in the final preceded Dutchman Nathan Ottink (GRR Junior) and compatriot Filip Durt (Alfa Racing Yamaha).
Cross Car
An important victory in view of the championship for David Meat, who is ever closer to reconfirmation. The Frenchman, at the wheel of his Kamikaz K3, preceded Spaniard Juan Jose Hernandez (Speed Car Wonder) and compatriot Vincent Priat (Mygale XC03).
Cross Car Academy Trophy
The greatest satisfaction for the Italian colors came from Valentino Ledda, who imposed himself with great stubbornness in this category after an exciting fight with Miguel Gayoso Vazquez; the Spaniard still leads the overall standings but with only 10 points ahead of the Sardinian driver. Third position today for Belgian Romuald Demelenne.
KartCross Support Race
Nice win for Adriano Fontana (Yamaha Yacar Cross), who won after a virtually perfect final over Maicol Giacomotti (Suzuki Kart Cross 599) and Ivan Sternieri (Suzuki Yacar Cross 600).
