Truly a spectacular two days that just ended in Maggiora Offroad Arena: Round 1 did not disappoint expectations by thrilling the audience flocked to the traditional Easter and Easter Monday event.

RX5

Great affirmation for Simone Romagna who put on a show in all the Qs - after having modified the set-up of his Skoda Fabia, which he was driving for the first time, during the race - and won with full merit the final in 4'33"441" (6 laps) ahead of Gianmarco Donetto (Skoda Fabia), however satisfied with his third podium in three races (two wins and a second place, today). Third position a very good Jenni Sonzogni (Skoda Fabia) who, at her debut in the category, showed that she has what it takes to fight for the top positions.

Supercar

Nice win for Marco Noris: at the wheel of a Skoda Fabia he won in 4'34"727 after a good duel with Werner Gurschler (Ford Fiesta). So an interesting confrontation is looming in view of the championship, with the reigning Italian champion Rosario Corallo (Subaru Impreza), third today, being the spoiler.

Super Touring Car

In STC Min 2000 really spectacular was the all-day battle between Ermes Mapi (Renault Clio) and Italian champion Marco Nicolini (Peugeot 205), then resolved in favor of the former (4'55"084 his time in the final). Even in one of the Qs the gap between the two was 3 thousandths! In the final the third place went to Simone Mora (Renault Clio).

Among the STC Plus 2000s victory for the reigning Italian champion Alberto Palestrini (Renault 5 - 5'28"829), who despite some technical problems got the better of Lucas Scabbia. (Peugeot 207).

Young Valentino Ledda, (Peugeot 208) making his covered wheel race debut, won in the STC min 1600 category with a time of 4'50"973. Second position for the good Armando Tocchio (Peugeot 106), while third was Damiano Delfino (Citroen Saxo).

Sport RX

First ever race for this category that promises to be very spectacular: Daniele Catena (Fiat 500 Proto, 5'23"627) had the honor of inscribing his name as the first winner by beating Massimo Manzato (Opel Tigra Proto).

Kartcross

There was no lack of spectacle in this category, in which Riccardo Canzian (Speedcar Xtreme) showed right from the start that his goal is the tricolor: his victory in 4'37"165. Behind him two U18s, Dutchman Nathan Ottink (Lifelive TN5) and Nicola Morlacchi (Planet Kart), who for his 18th birthday, which he just turned today, gave himself the podium.

Round 2 and 3: see you in Sardinia!

Now the focus shifts to Ittiri (SS), where there will be a thrilling weekend on April 29/30 at the Ittiri Rally Arena, with as many as 2 Rounds!
