One of the highlights of the Maggiora Offroad Arena’s racing season is fast approaching: from September 11 to 13, the historic Novara track will host the ninth round of the 2026 FIA European Autocross Championship, the only Italian event in the sport’s top continental series.

This race is eagerly anticipated by drivers and fans alike, bringing some of Europe’s top autocross competitors to Maggiora every year. The connection between Maggiora and this sport runs very deep: the Maggiora track is one of the iconic circuits of European autocross, having hosted international competitions since the sport’s earliest days and serving, in fact, as the birthplace of the European Championship. For a driver, having their name inscribed in Maggiora’s hall of fame is a highly prestigious achievement.

There are 12 events on the 2026 European calendar. The season began in May in Seelow, Germany, continued at the end of the month in Musa, Latvia, and from June 5 to 7 in Vilkyciai, Lithuania. On June 26–28, the event took place in Matschenberg, Germany, followed in July by Nova Paka, in the Czech Republic, and Saint Georges de Montaigu, in France. Before the break leading up to Maggiora, two more events are scheduled: August 14–16 in Nyirad, Hungary, and August 21–23 in Prerov, in the Czech Republic.

Maggiora will therefore be the ninth round of the season, ahead of the Championship’s final stretch: races will take place on September 18–20 in Saint-Igny-de-Vers, France, and on October 9–11 in Mollerussa, Spain, while the grand finale is scheduled for October 16–18 in Foz Coa, Portugal.

In Maggiora, the focus will be on cars in the SuperBuggy, Buggy1600, Junior Buggy, and Cross Car categories.

The Notte Bianca returns on Friday, September 11

But the big Autocross weekend will begin even before the engines roar to life on the track. On Friday, September 11, the spectacular “Notte Bianca” will return, featuring live music, performances, and food stands throughout the streets of Maggiora—a now-traditional event that kicks off the European Championship weekend. The most anticipated moment will, of course, be the parade through the town’s streets of the cars that, starting the next day, will take center stage in the on-track competitions: a unique opportunity to see the European Championship cars and drivers up close and to immerse the entire town in the event’s atmosphere.

The September event is one of the highlights of the entire Maggiora Offroad Arena season and the only opportunity for Italian fans to see the top names in international autocross in person.

So, from September 11 to 13, see you in Maggiora: from the Notte Bianca to the spectacular action on the track, the FIA European Autocross Championship is about to return!
